When mapping an online item with your local database item, you'll want to make sure you are searching for the item or modifier exactly as it appears in your POS database.
This may include;
- abbreviated terms
- special #'s
Here's an example of finding an abbreviated item:
Online, we are showing a customer a menu item called Wild Mushroom Ravioli
Your POS shows it as Wild Mush Rav
Here's an example of finding an item with a special # value:
Online, we are showing a customer a menu item called Special 2. The Bachelorette
Your POS shows it as 2-The Bachlrett
